Categories of Recognition

Outstanding Productions: The productions which represent the greatest overall achievement, combining energy, enthusiasm, and dramatic art.

Outstanding Student Directors: Presented to registered Student directors.

Outstanding Teacher Directors: Presented to full-time, part-time, or student teachers, working within the school.

Outstanding Actors: Presented for the strongest performances by actors (male and female), in leading roles

Outstanding Supporting Actors: Presented for the strongest performances by actors (male and female), in secondary roles

Outstanding Use of Costume: Presented for the most effective incorporation of costume into the total dramatic effect of a production.

Outstanding Use of Set: Presented for the most effective incorporation for stage setting into the total dramatic look.

Special Adjudicator’s Mention: Presented to a group of individuals whose work displays special merit.

Special Mention of Originality: Presented to any aspect of any productions which display outstanding originality.

Outstanding Choice of Material: Presented to the directors who have chosen material that reflects the groups strengths.

TNB Mardi Cockburn Award: Given to the participant in the Black Box division demonstrating the most professional potential.
